At Voice of Change Kilimanjaro (VoC-KLM), we believe that lasting change comes from collective effort. By joining us, you’ll be part of a growing movement that empowers women, youth, children, elders, and persons with disabilities across Tanzania.

Membership is more than a title—it’s your opportunity to:

Types of Membership

VoC-KLM welcomes people from all walks of life who are passionate about social impact. Our Constitution recognizes three categories of membership:

Founder Members

These are members who made the initiatives to establish this Organization

Ordinary Members

These are members who join the Organization after its establishment

Honorary Members

These are members who shall be awarded such membership by the Organization due to their positive contributions to the community and Organization objectives.

Member Commitment Plan

This commitment plan outlines the expectations and responsibilities of all members to ensure the smooth operation, growth, and sustainability of Voice of Change Kilimanjaro. It reflects our shared values of transparency, unity, and action.

Guiding Principles

  • Inclusivity: Every member has a voice and a role in shaping our mission.
  • Accountability: Members are expected to honor their commitments consistently.
  • Transparency: All contributions and expenditures will be documented and shared.
  • Impact: Funds collected will directly support community projects, advocacy efforts, and member development.

Financial Contributions

To maintain our operations and fund our initiatives, each member is expected to contribute:

Note: Contributions may be reviewed annually based on the organization’s needs and member consensus.

Participation & Engagement

Members are expected to:

  • Attend monthly meetings (minimum 10 per year)
  • Participate in at least two community outreach activities annually
  • Contribute to planning and decision-making processes
  • Uphold the values and mission of Voice of Change Kilimanjaro in personal and public life

Accountability Measures

  • A Finance & Records Committee will track contributions and provide quarterly reports.
  • Members who miss more than 3 consecutive meetings without valid reason may be reviewed by the leadership team.
  • Members who consistently fail to contribute financially may be placed on a supportive review plan to understand and resolve barriers.

Solidarity & Support

We recognize that circumstances vary. Members facing financial hardship may request temporary waivers or reduced contributions through a confidential process managed by the leadership team.

By joining Voice of Change Kilimanjaro, each member agrees to:

“Actively participate, contribute, and uphold the mission of our movement. I commit to supporting our shared goals through financial contributions, personal engagement, and community service.”
